InstagramThe history of this rustic estate is linked to the Lassala family, which is why the recovery of this privileged enclave means so much to Grupo El Alto. The original building dates back to the 17th century, first as an inn on the road between Madrid and Valencia, then as a dry farming estate -vine, olive and fruit trees- hence the existence of its old wine cellars and oil mills; and finally as a citrus farm.
Masía Aldamar has architectural and decorative elements typical of the Valencian tradition, such as the 16th and 17th century ceramics, the cobbled courtyard, the irrigation pond, the oil mill and its centenary garden – where an Almez stands out, catalogued among the illustrious trees of the Valencian Community. After a few years of being owned by the Belgian company REVA, the estate has returned to the Alfaro-Lassala family, who manage this historic space exclusively.
We are currently recovering its wine cellar and oil mill. The historic bodega is documented as such since 1870, the production of wine is part of this historic house – which was sold in Valencia on the ground floor of the Palacio del Negrito, also owned by the Lassala family. Also the production of olive oil and of course the traditional cultivation of oranges. For this reason, and together with a winery with a long family tradition, we are recovering the ageing of wine, as in the old days. Moreover, with the spirit of our oil mill we are producing a high quality oil. For years, the main hall has been hosting 500 guests in an open and welcoming space.
Grupo El Alto offers a unique experience at Masía Aldamar, from an oil or wine tasting in the cellar and surrounded by centenary barrels; to a Mediterranean menu with the Valencian citrus fruit par excellence [the orange] as the protagonist, in any of its magnificent rooms: Fireplace room, tower room or in the ageing room. And of course the Olive Tree Courtyard, the gardens and the recently inaugurated Casa del Agua, a luminous space with sloping beamed ceilings.
We have recovered the agricultural tradition of the farmhouse, and in harmony with the renovation of its interior, we offer an unforgettable experience to our guests, including the possibility of staying in the bedrooms, which have been perfectly renovated with absolute respect for the original decoration and furniture. Thus, both the newlyweds and their close relatives can spend the night on the main floor of Masía Aldamar.
